“Herks” are clear quartz crystals mined only in Herkimer, in northeastern New York. They have occasional black inclusions of carbon, and are valued because they can have the double terminations typical of quartz.
Metaphysical: Herkimers are said to bring harmony, awareness, spontaneity and are called the “crystal of attunement.” Stimulates clairvoyance and telepathic communication. Can store information and emotions and alleviate tension. They’re associated with the zodiac sign Sagittarius.
